NOTE: We've guessed that
you're not using a client that supports colored tables and have tried
to compensate. Low graphics mode looks much better on clients that
do... we recommend switching to Netscape 3.0 or Microsoft Internet
Explorer.

CAPE
In an unstable environment,
the temperature of rising air can be traced and compared to
the vertical profile of the environmental temperature.
The area between these two lines is
representative of the available energy a storm could use to grow.
This energy is call CAPE (Convective Available Potential Energy)
and comes from the energy released when water
condenses.
