So how does it work? You must be asking yourself this if you're looking at this page. Well, its not hard at all! All you have to do is pick a product and go! ...But, if you want to learn about the features of our weather product viewer, keep reading!!! First of all, when you select a product from any of our current weather product pages, you'll get a window that looks a lot like the one below...
SURFACE TEMPERATURE MAP Notice the buttons at the bottom. The first button (the leftmost) is the help button. This button is an important piece of the product viewer, as it integrates our already existing educational content from WW2010 to these current weather products. Clicking on the help button will launch a new browser window with educational content explaining the usefulness of the map. It'll look a lot like this.
SURFACE TEMPERATURE HELPER PAGE Here you can see there are two images at the top of the page. The left image is a reference map -- an example. The second is the current map. (Most of the time, the same map you saw when you clicked for help.) This allows you the ability to compare and contrast the current weather with that from another time and place. The text below will also assist you to better understand the product you selected.
