nexrad close-ups

8:00pm CDT (4/19/96) - ILX radar reflectivities indicated the presence of two hook echoes over Piatt county. The southern most hook was probably associated with a tornado that ripped through Bement, Illinois. Further to the north, the second hook echo was likely associated with the Monticello tornado.

A cluster of mesocyclones embedded in the tornadic supercell passing over Piatt county.
